We work with Boards and Governing Bodies in Trusts and CCGs to help them build their capability, capacity and focus. We do not do this in isolation from their key challenges but use live challenges and priorities to work through opportunities and issues.
A key finding from our experience is that behaviours are strongly influenced by some of the basics of the way the Board or Governing Body is run. Boards need to address the basics of excellent support, administration and meeting process design to enable participants to give of their best individually and collectively. Only then can the important roles of the Board be effectively discharged in a way that engages and involves.
